Does anyone undergo any inside information on the DEC 2008 board? I talked to the DCA program coordinator a bring together on months back and he said it looked like 30+ slots for FY08. He did not experience the breakdown of FW vs RW. Past boards:2007 Dec come in 9 primary selected. 5 alter May board 10 primary 10 alternate2006 Dec board 16 primary selected w/6 alternates most of which got picked up. May board 16 primary and 3 alternates.2005 Dec come in 15 primary selected. 6 alter May board 5 primary and three alternate.2004 Dec come in 15 primary and five alter... Hopefully FY 08 will be more desire FY06 than FY07. Any thoughts from other Army Aviators applying this year?DJB
I do not experience the breakdown but it seems as if they ordain be looking for a lot of fixed go folks again. From my most reliable source I was told that age and time in function waivers will be looked at. However they will only waive a few months from either of those if you are a fixed wing pilot. If you are rotary wing don't expect a waiver to come your way. Additionally. I was told that there will not be any waivers if you do not have the required amount of flight measure. gratify conclude free to apply anyway and let them express you no but at least now you know what to evaluate.
Sorry my original post is kind of confusing. I was asking about the DEC 2007 come in for FY08. I already undergo a packet at USCG recruiting command. I won't need a time in service waiver for a couple of years and won't be an age waiver for a much longer time. I already undergo far above the minimum rotary go requirement. DJB

Talked with the DCO coordinator yesterday. FY08 looks desire this for DCA's: 30 RW 20 FWBoard 02-08 15 RW 10 FW with only 25 apps turned in. 5 demand waivers. come in 03-08 15 RW 10 FW. As far as waivers are concerned he said that waivers will be looked at for both RW and FW. They are approved/denied on a inspect by case basis by personnel command. At this point there ordain be no cover waivers. Each packet will be looked by personnel command if a waiver is required and waivers ordain or ordain not be granted based on the strength of the applicants qualifications and write of waiver requested. If the waiver is approved the packet will be deemed competitive and ordain be looked at by the DCA board itself. He said the DCA board will not make any determinations as to waivers. That will be done by the personnel folks prior to the come in convening. Good Luck
