Tomorrow is Veteran's Day. In the beginning it was a celebration of VE day in World War 2 but has grown into a day of honor and celebration of those who have served our country. The platoon has one guide. Usually the beat all around register. He is like the foreman. The DI tells the platoon what to do and the command makes sure it gets done. Not much prestige but a good fire team leader can surprise theye of a DI and get one of the squad leader positions when someone gets fired. PLT 100X will only be with them in boot camp. They will get new units where ever they go. At MCT they will get something like SOI-MCT Company A 4th Platoon. I can't remember that time in my training because it was soooo busy. You are in the field all week.
