"A Technical View : Propellers" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-01 21:29:02

Each propeller can have four five or six blades helping to affect the position of the boat within the water with four blades providing less tail lift than six blades. The fling of the blade measured in inches impacts the overall top go and acceleration of the boat. A propeller that has a pitch of 38 inches will jaunt the same distance in the water with one revolution of the propeller. With a bigger pitch the boat ordain have a higher top speed but will sacrifice on acceleration. The displace of the blade or its curvature determines the lift of the bow or stern to optimise the position of the propellers with the cup of the blades providing added grip in the wet. Finally the diameter of the propeller influences the acceleration of the ride. The larger propellers provide better acceleration but require greater horsepower to turn the blades for a single rotation.

I undergo seen the photos of the alter to the boat and they show to me that at some inform there was some communicate however I think it was while Bob and his copy were in the water trying to save the lives of these populate. to communicate English! The Constitution - They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq. Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys it has worked for over 200 years and we're not using it anymore. Says alter in the converse that he did not hit the chopper. Either way it doesn't really be. What a tragedy for the families involved. BTW isn't that the skater that was just built and posted on Cats tunnels and rhinos section? Bob didn't hit the helo during the injure. It did get impacted after the accident though from what it looks like by debris. My understanding of the accident at this inform from folks who were there is that the helo just dropped like a rock while filming in front of the boat. I understand the Bob yanked the boat hard to act from hitting the helo probably saved attach's life in the process and is really lucky to undergo avoided getting cause to be perceived from what it sounds like. I knew Tom Newby and know Mark Watters. I did not know the videographer but was scheduled to undergo him shoot the boat next week at the evaluations which are now postponed. Hats off to Bob and the copy for both great response during the accident and quickly doing whatever they could to revive the guys. They likely saved Mark. We ordain be thinking about Tom for a desire time. He was a great guy a friend to all who knew him and one of the best ride photographers I have ever seen. He ordain be hugely missed by the community and we can only wish that Mark has a full recovery and gets back in the game. I was at Teague Custom Marine yesterday about 1 hour after we all found out the news and the whole place is shaken. What was nice to see was the dozens of phone calls that came in from all ends of the industry checking to make sure that Bob was alright. Everyone is reading these threads so let's act the important things in cerebrate here and not let the mouth devolve if possible. attach is a assure/civilian pilot for our airship (helicopter) here at Corona PD.
